It's the final check-in of our 2014 Spring Writing Bootcamp! Which means you made it through THREE MONTHS of setting writing goals, writing ALL THE WORDS, revising ALL THE WORDS, making new friends, and/or harping on old friends to stop tweeting and write (kidding) (not kidding). YOU DID IT!!!!!
Since we started the bootcamp, a lot of people have been thanking us for hosting it. Here's the thing, this bootcamp would have been NOTHING without you guys. You're the ones who took our idea for a fun writing challenge and ran with it. You put in the time to create goals for yourself, took advantage of our Word Sprints and writing parties, wrote late at night/early in the morning/during your lunch hour - you guys did the hard part, we're just happy that we got to help motivate you.
And we have been blown away by your successes! From finishing rough drafts to winning awards, from having breakthrough moments to completing revisions - and that's only a taste of what we've seen you guys accomplish! Speaking of ...
Tell us your #YABbootcampWIN on Twitter!
We want to hear more about your winning moments during the bootcamp! Did you create a new blog, make friends, meet a writing goal, do something you never thought you'd do? What are you the most proud of? What's the thing you want to shout from the rooftops? We want to hear about it!
Share your WIN on Twitter and use the #YABbootcampWIN hashtag in your tweet. We'll RT and favorite them - let's flood the Internet with your Spring Writing Bootcamp WINs!
You're a survivor! Have a badge!
While you're here, grab your survivor badge! (Made by our lovely Lady Byrd Bonebreaker! Thanks, lady!) We have two sizes, large and small, so you can stick them in a blog post (your Spring Writing Bootcamp wrap-up post, perhaps?) or add it to your sidebar.
Originally, we were going to choose a winning Accountability Team ... But ALL of the teams rocked the bootcamp! Instead, we're rewarding all of the teams! Your team leaders will be contacting you soon, and we'll be featuring everyone who's interested on the YA Buccaneers blog. Stay tuned!
We have SEVEN critiques up for grabs this month, but the giveaway ends May 31st, 2014 at 12:00am - so go enter NOW! We've added an easy entry for anyone who shares their #YABbootcampWIN, so be sure to enter it into the Rafflecopter form!
We've already been asked to do more bootcamps (squeeeeeee), and our crew has been talking about putting one together for the fall. But here's the thing, we need YOUR help! We'll be sending out a survey to get thoughts on what worked/didn't work, and what you'd like to see more of/less of in future bootcamps. So, if you want to help shape our next writing challenge, be sure to subscribe to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time, but signing up now will ensure you receive news of future writing challenges AND that you can share your thoughts on this and future writing bootcamps.
Okay, now tell us in the comments how the bootcamp went for you - link to your tweet, blog post, whatever works for you. We can't wait to read your YAB bootcamp WINs!
P.S. Need writing motivation this summer? We'll have a post going up in a couple of hours with our ideas for What's Comes After Bootcamp. Check back soon!
