I have a confession to make: for the first two weeks of Bootcamp, I barely wrote a thing. (Yes, okay, last week I did a mini book tour and several exciting but exhausting high school visits, but still!) This week, I am heading into revision with my metaphorical guns blazing. (Pens blazing? Computer keys blazing? You get the idea.) So what changed? I got my editor's first-round revision letter for my second book. And it's…long. Thorough. Basically, I have my work cut out for me.
As I dive in, I am so grateful to have my accountability team—and all of my fellow Bootcampers—cheering me on and kicking their own books' butts! So far this week, I have read my editorial letter about a dozen times and finally, tentatively, anxiously started rewriting the first couple chapters. I've also been jotting down random revision ideas on my phone, in my notebook, etc. Gotta be ready for inspiration to strike.
What are you working on with your manuscript? What's keeping you motivated? Tell us in the comments below! You can also link to a blog post you wrote or a status update on social media. Just remember to use the hashtag #SWB2015, so Bootcampers can find your update and get inspired. We're all cheering for you!
